Austin's Baptism Day!

Can't believe I'm saying this but Austin was baptized July 2nd. It's crazy that he's already 8! He was the only one getting baptized that day in the whole stake so we have the day all to ourselves!

It was a great day and we are so proud of Austin! The whole meeting went really well, except for the Bishop was a little late getting there so the font wasn't very full so Austin's knees didn't make it under the first time. But he'll always remember having to be baptized twice! Family pic outside the church...looking right into the sun
We had lots of family and friends come to celebrate the day with us which always makes things fun. After the baptism we had lunch then headed home for some fun in the hot sun. Most of the kids came over at some point or another to play on the slip n slide and in the pool. My kids love being with their cousins.

Since the 4th of July was on a Monday, Delta held their infamous kiddie parade the night of the 2nd. My kids totally love getting their bikes decked out and racing down main street. I loaded up every single bike or scooter we have ever owned (including Kurtis' childhood scooters;)) and picked up some balloons for all the nieces and nephews. They thought it was great! I wish we would have gotten everyone in this picture cuz it was quite the crew!

The best part of the parade is the popsicles they give out at the end. Tate looks like he's wearing lipstick from his popsicle:)

Halle didn't join the parade this year, I think we'll make it a rule that you can't be in the parade unless you can ride your own bike:)

My mom's good friend lives in Salt Lake and has a daughter a couple years older than Austin. They came for the 4th a couple years ago and they're hooked!:) Tayci loved it here and begged her mom to come back so they've made it a tradition. Gotta love Delta on the 4th of July!

The parade was a great ending to a great day. We're so proud of Austin and are so thankful for him and his example to us. He's a great kid and is so good to Tate and Halle and they love him to death. I really do hope the next 8 years go by lots slower than the first have!
