We (okay just Austin and I) colored eggs during the week, which was lots of fun! I was a party pooper mom, and made sure that we did it while Tate was asleep! I can only imagine how many cups of dye he would have spilt all over the kitchen.
After church on Sunday we headed to my parent's for a yummy dinner! Afterwards we had the egg hunt and played a game of baseball, the weather was great Sunday! The kids found lots of eggs with enough candy to last all year!

We also played a game of "egg crack", or something like that. You hit the ends of two eggs together, and only one of them breaks. Whoever ends up with an unbroken egg at the end wins more candy! This is Austin and Tate playing, Tate's egg didn't last very long cuz he was more into throwing the egg across the lawn.

Sounds like lots of fun. I love the "egg crack" game idea. I will have to remember that. Your boys are sure cute!
Cute boys! I don't blame you for not wanting to include Tate in the egg dye eperience. I wish I would have just done it myself, Lola is 3and she managed to spill an entire cup of dye all over herself and the Kitchen, and it ended with me not being very nice (no Niceness at all) and Lola looking very blue(Emotionally and physically!) Tony's extended family does the same kind of egg game(kinda)they call it the "Egg Roll" and it is a serious competition they have taped-out lines and on the count of three you roll your egg into the competitors egg and withoot fail one always cracks and the other doesn't. (it will be a great science experiment for Lola someday!) They even have a trophy with all the winners from years past on it that they pass on to the new winner. everyone gets a number and they write it all down with brackets and everything. This year I made it all the way to the third round. I was sad that I didn't win, but there is always next year right! Ha ha, sorry, but I just felt like sharing, just in case you felt like going over the top next year and getting the whole trophy thing! Seriously, am I still writing!? Happy Easter belated!
Sheesh, who wrote the novel?
Sounds like lots of fun at your house. I can't believe that it's still such crappy weather either. I think it's the longest winter of my life.
I thought you must have forgotten how to blog!
don't feel bad, I was mean and dyed eggs while Jace was asleep too. It looks like you had a good easter.
I don't blame you with wanting to dye eggs while Tate's asleep...he can do it next year!
