out west of Minersville that my Mom's family owns.
It's a fun place to go over conference weekend, cuz we
can watch conference but still enjoy the fun things
there are to do outdoors......unless, of course, it rains
the entire time.
We had a little time to play on Friday before Kurtis and
his parents were able to head out. We didn't do anything
too exciting though, cuz we were saving it for Saturday
when everyone would be there! Too bad we didn't enjoy
the good weather while we had it.
Austin definitely had fun playing hop scotch in the sun, he
made 61 squares!
This is what it looked like for most of the weekend.
The rain stopped for maybe an hour on Saturday, so
we ran out to play tennis, but that didn't last long. It sure
made it easier to stay indoors and watch conference, riding
4-wheelers in the freezing rain was definitely not too
tempting!
We did find some fun things to do inside though.
Beating Kurtis in ping pong was one of the funnest
parts of the whole weekend! This isn't the best
picture, or you would be able to see the beads of
sweat rolling off of Kurtis' forehead while he was
trying his best to keep up with me!
(ok, so I didn't really beat him, but I was winning at one point in the game)
Good thing we had some movies to help pass the
time. This is Austin and Grandpa Topham enjoying
Ice Age the Meltdown.
Couldn't keep Tate away from the piano!
To make the weekend ever more delightful, Austin
ended up with the stomach flu. Good thing we
were in a cabin with a washer! Here he is enjoying the
couch, which is where he spent most of Saturday afternoon
and Sunday (when he wasn't in the bathroom!). He's
such a good kid though, he never cried or complained
about being sick. I would have been so much more of a
grouch than he was! And thanks a million times over
to Grandma Jill for cleaning up most of his "messes".
Just had to put this picture in there. Is that
Indiana Jones?....not quite!
Grandpa Tom celebrated his "35th" birthday
Sunday! We love you Grandpa!
It really was a fun weekend, even though it didn't
turn out as planned. I really enjoyed listening to
conference and being able to spend some time with
family!

Sounds like a great weekend. That is too bad for Austin though! That is a great picture of Curtis as Indiana Jones (or who ever)! :)
The stomach flu? Yuck! poor kid. I'm glad you entertained yourselves in the cabin. I almost beat Cory in pool too! I was so proud of myself.
Does it only rain when we go on vacation? Looks like you guys made the best of it. Your cabin looks way fun. Poor Austin!
