We've made it a tradition to go to the Red Barn in Santaquin every year before Halloween to go for a hay ride and pick out pumpkins. It's not too far away, it's cheap, and the kids have a great time.
The hay ride starts at the Red Barn and takes you out to the pumpkin patch. They even gave us yummy apples to eat on the way out.
When we got to the patch the kids were excited to see they had added a new adventure to the patch! There is now a gunny sack slide that the kids could have stayed on all day.
Halle was pretty brave and even went down the big slide....even though she usually ended up backwards and on her back with her feet in the air by the time she got to the bottom.
The maze is always a hit with the kids too, we had a few races through it. Halle was pretty sure we won every time.
Always gotta be pulling faces....
Halle with her pumpkin pick...she was pretty sure she was tough enough to carry it by herself. She made it about two feet before she dropped it.
Austin's pick was of course huge!
And Tate's was too big for him to carry too so we just had to take a picture of him standing in front of it
We had so many big pumpkins that the tractor driver offered to carry them back to the barn for us! We made it back for donuts and caramel apples, makes the trip even more worth it!
