Camping!

We only made one camping trip this summer, I was wishing we could have gone a few more times but it didn't happen this year...maybe next summer! Since we only got to go once it's a good thing it was so much fun!

Every year we try to go camping with the Rogers, the Winters, and the Morris families. I can't really call it an anual campout cuz we can't seem to make it work every year, but we make it at least every other year:)

We headed up Parowan Mountain to Ken's cabin. It's so nice to have somewhere to stay that has heat and most importantly a bathroom! We got there Thursday night and spent that night and the next morning there by ourselves. It was nice to relax and spend some time with just us....but let's be honest the party didn't really start until the rest of the clan arrived!

The kids loved riding the 4-wheeler, as usual. They even liked being on it when it wasn't moving.

With all the rain this year the mountains were beautiful. The grass was so green and long. And there was water in little lakes that haven't had water in them for a long time. Having a little more grass maybe made it a little harder for Halle to get dirty...but not much. She just wanted to crawl around the whole campground and eat as many sticks and suck on as many rocks as possible. She loved watching all the kids roast marshmallows over the fire, and she really loved eating the marshmallows. My eyes are nice and big in this picture cuz she was shoving a whole marshmallow in her mouth right as Kurtis took the picture. She definitely doesn't hold back when it comes to eating! The Piacitelli's came with us this year and they brought their little 4-wheeler that the kids drove into the ground. Gotta love game time in the mountains...pretty intense competition! We played after lunch and stayed up way late both nights playing....good times! And by the way, girls rule! Even the kids were enjoying game time. The little kids had some games going on too...only there was a little fighting involved at this table:) We always have soooo much junk food when we're camping, who doesn't, right? It was all sooo yummy. And who knew it was a competition?:) Amber and Katie brought rice crispie treats, but Katie's were decked out! Watch out next year Aunt Kate, Amber claims she's bringin' the heat!!!:) We usually do a scavengar hunt for the kids. Our clues weren't as creative this year as last year's but oh well, the kids still had fun and got lots of fun prizes and treats. Always gotta get a group photo! Thanks guys for all the fun!
