Kurtis had such a fun time with basketball this year...we all did! This is his second year coaching, last year the girls just missed a trip to the State Tournament so we were really hoping to get there this year. The girls played awesome all year and were so much fun to watch. They ended up winning the Region Championship and headed to State for the first time in like 8 years or something like that:) These are just a few pics I got of their last region game against Richfield. 
Austin and Tate like watching the games, but they also really like playing their own game of basketball in the corner.

The boys love when the game is over and they can go run around on the court for a while. I didn't get any pictures of Austin, but he's pretty funny to watch after the games. He plays basketball with a pretend ball and runs up and down the court making every shot he shoots:) Here's Tate & Aiden sportin' their Delta gear
The first night they played Hurricane and came out with the win even though it wasn't their prettiest performance:) The second day they played Carbon who was a tough team that they had beat once earlier in the year. The girls played their hearts out but things didn't fall their way and they ended up losing. It was pretty sad to see the girls after the game, lots of tears. I don't think the girls were the only ones crying:)
This is Kurtis' favorite picture. This was somewhere during the end of regulation or overtime of the Juab game. These girls definitely played hard and were rooting for each other! It really showed with them huddled together with their arms around each other.
A few people, including the referees, told Kurtis how much class he thought the team had and how well they handled themselves on the court. That's a huge compliment considering how exciting things can get during a game!
They played ALA for the play-in game. I was nervous but thankfully it wasn't too close and they got their chance to go the the U for the state tourney.
So we headed to SLC the next weekend, it was super exciting and such a fun atmosphere. Kurtis has great assistant coaches and they have such a great time, I love to hear the stories he comes home with from these guys!

They were behind by like 8 with just a few minutes left, came back to tie it, went into overtime, went into overtime again, and won! It was super exciting and I haven't been that nervous in a long time. So they ended up taking 3rd place which is awesome and something to be proud of.
